Wireless Networks Lab (WNL)
Current research work focuses on evolving broadband wireless technologies in the areas of WiMAX, Wi-Fi as well as LTE. Recent major areas of work include device power management, media independent handover (MIH), seamless interoperability between WiFi and WiMAX, and scheduling schemes in WiMAX. This Lab was funded from Jan. 2007- June 2009 by Motorola India Research Labs[1]. At present two students are working in this Lab. and they receive fellowship/scholarship from Microsoft Research [2] and Infosys [3]. Dr. Debabrata Das[4] is Principal Investigator of the research activities undertaken in this Lab. This Lab has already produced one PhD and four Masters research theses over last three years.
